While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

UN Security Council to hold emergency session over Israeli decision to occupy Gaza

NEW YORK, August 8, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Security Council is set to hold an emergency session tomorrow, Saturday, following the Israeli occupation government’s decision to fully occupy the Gaza Strip and forcibly displace nearly one million Palestinians from Gaza City and northern Gaza to the south.

Palestine’s permanent observer to the United Nations, Riyadh Mansour, said the Security Council session will take place tomorrow at 3 p.m. New York time. This follows his meeting with the President of the Security Council, consultations among council members, and the meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors called for by Palestine.

Mansour held a press conference in which he highlighted the measures being pursued by Palestine at this important international forum, under the directives of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership, aimed at blocking the implementation of Netanyahu’s government’s decision to occupy Gaza.

UN Secretary-General expresses grave alarm over Israeli government’s decision to take control of Gaza City

NEW YORK, August 8, 2025 (WAFA) -

The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, expressed grave alarm at the decision of the Israeli Government to "take control of Gaza City".

He stressed that the decision represents a dangerous escalation, one that risks deepening the already catastrophic consequences for millions of Palestinians and further endangering countless lives.

In a statement, Stephanie Tremblay, Associate Spokesperson for the Secretary-General, said: “Palestinians in Gaza continue to endure a humanitarian catastrophe of horrific proportions. The Secretary-General warns that this further escalation will result in additional forced displacement, killings and massive destruction, compounding the unimaginable suffering of the Palestinian population in Gaza.”

The Secretary-General reiterated his urgent appeal for a permanent ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access across Gaza, and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and detainees.

The Secretary-General once again strongly urged the Government of Israel to abide by its obligations under international law. He recalled that the International Court of Justice, in its Advisory Opinion of 19 July 2024, declared, inter alia, that the State of Israel is under an obligation to cease immediately all new settlement activities, and to evacuate all settlers from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and to bring to an end its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory - which encompasses Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem - as rapidly as possible.

“There will be no sustainable solution to this conflict without an end to this unlawful occupation and the achievement of a viable two-state solution. Gaza is and must remain an integral part of a Palestinian State.”

UN experts warn of genocide in Gaza as health system collapses

Friday 8-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A team of United Nations experts has accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon to exterminate the Palestinian population in Gaza, warning that the enclave’s health system has completely collapsed under the ongoing siege and bombardment.

In a statement on Thursday, the experts said Israel’s displacement orders and attacks, such as the deadly strike on the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, target the last remaining pillars of humanitarian response in Gaza.

They stressed that more than 500,000 people, a quarter of Gaza’s population, face starvation, while the rest endure emergency levels of hunger. All 320,000 children under five are at risk of severe malnutrition.

The experts condemned what they described as Israel’s “illegal restrictions on humanitarian aid” that have created living conditions amounting to “the physical destruction of the Palestinian people in Gaza,” a crime they said is punishable under international law as genocide.

They highlighted reports that more than 1,000 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire while waiting for food aid, alongside over 59,000 killed and 140,000 wounded since the start of the genocide.

They also warned that forced displacement orders have crowded survivors into just 12% of Gaza’s territory, and denounced Israeli proposals to relocate residents to a so-called “humanitarian city” near Egypt as a step toward permanent expulsion.

The statement accused some states of enabling the genocide by shielding Israel from accountability and continuing to supply it with arms and economic support.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s medical sector is on the brink of total collapse. Mu'hammed Abu Salmiya, director general of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, said on Thursday that hospitals are unable to treat the sick and wounded due to shortages of medicine, equipment, and food.

He reported a surge in disease caused by waste buildup and contaminated water, adding that hundreds of dialysis patients and newborns are dying because lifesaving supplies are blocked.

The UN experts warned that without urgent international action, “never again” risks becoming a hollow phrase, marking not the prevention of genocide, but the end of Palestinian life in Gaza.

Commission: Gilboa prison administration tortures Palestinian detainees with electric shocks

Friday 8-August-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission has reported a sharp increase in torture and reprisals against detainees at Gilboa prison.

In a statement on Friday, the commission said the prison administration has recently intensified the use of painful electric shocks during raids on prisoners’ sections and cells.

Following a recent visit to the prison, the commission’s lawyer detailed the brutal methods employed by special suppression units. Under the pretext of conducting searches, these units storm prisoner sections, restrain detainees by their hands and feet, and force them into the courtyard. There, prisoners are beaten, humiliated, and electrocuted.

Guards also drag detainees over shower heads, soaking them with water before delivering additional electric shocks to maximize their pain and suffering, often causing prisoners to collapse.

The lawyer explained that electric shocks are administered using special stun guns, which are also used to strike prisoners on the head. These iron devices cause severe injuries and bleeding. Many detainees lose consciousness due to the intensity of the torture, while guards mock and laugh at their suffering.

The commission also highlighted dire living conditions inside Gilboa prison. Food is scarce and insufficient, leading to severe weight loss among prisoners. Cleaning supplies and disinfectants are in short supply, creating unsanitary conditions that foster disease. Prisoners are forced to use plastic plates and spoons for an entire month, increasing the risk of infection from viruses and germs, further endangering their health and lives.

Israel approves plan to occupy Gaza City, raising fears of mass displacement and new Nakba

Friday 8-August-2025

NAZARETH, (PIC)

Israel’s security cabinet approved early Friday morning a plan to occupy Gaza City, its most significant escalation since the start of the genocide, setting the stage for mass displacement and a new military-imposed reality under the pretext of eliminating Palestinian resistance.

Israeli media, including the official Kan 11 broadcaster, confirmed that the cabinet authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli war minister Yisrael Katz to approve Israeli occupation forces’ (IOFs) operational plans to seize the city and launch sweeping “cleansing” operations, despite warnings over the security and political fallout.

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, the plan centers in five goals, none of which addresses humanitarian or civilian needs: disarming Hamas, returning Israeli captives, completely disarming the Gaza Strip, imposing full Israeli security control, and establishing a civilian administration to replace both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.

Forced displacement under military control

The plan outlines the removal of Gaza City’s entire population by October 7, this year, a date framed as “symbolic.” After that deadline, a complete military cordon would be enforced, with anyone remaining in the city deemed a “military target.”

Israeli reports say the IOFs will execute the plan in stages, starting with hermetic closure and moving toward a full-scale ground invasion. Human rights observers warn that this could mark the beginning of permanent displacement for the city’s residents, a move reminiscent of the 1948 Nakba.

Division inside Israel’s leadership

Despite cabinet approval, the decision met resistance from Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who warned that occupying Gaza City would jeopardize the lives of hostages and strain an already exhausted military. Zamir instead suggested besieging the city and conducting limited operations.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid called the decision “a disaster that will open the door to further disasters.”

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong cautioned that Israeli control over Gaza would violate international law, urging the opening of humanitarian corridors and an end to forced displacement.

Meanwhile, Hamas condemned Netanyahu’s move, saying it represented a deliberate reversal of ongoing negotiations and served only his “personal interests and political survival.” The Movement accused him of continuing a policy of extermination and mass displacement through committing more war crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

'Hamas: Israel’s Gaza occupation plan is ‘blatant war crime’

Friday 8-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has condemned Israel’s approval of a plan to occupy Gaza City and evacuate its residents, calling it a “blatant war crime” and a continuation of policies aimed at extermination, forced displacement, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

In a statement issued on Friday, 'Hamas said the decision by the Israeli security cabinet reflects the “fascist” government’s attempt to evade legal responsibility by replacing the term “occupation” with “control.”

The Movement said this was an implicit admission that the plan violates the Geneva Conventions and poses a direct threat to the lives of nearly one million Palestinians in Gaza City.

'Hamas said that the decision reflects “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Nazi government’s disregard for the lives of Israeli captives,” saying the move would sacrifice them in pursuit of “failed political illusions.” The statement linked the decision to Israel’s abrupt withdrawal from the latest round of ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks, which Hamas said were close to reaching an agreement.

The 'Hamas Movement asserted that it had shown “flexibility and positivity” in negotiations with Egyptian and Qatari mediators and remained ready to pursue a comprehensive deal to release all prisoners in exchange for ending the war and withdrawing Israeli forces from Gaza.

'Hamas warned that any attempt to implement the Israeli plan would come at a heavy cost for Israel, stressing that Palestinian resistance “will not surrender, nor will it be broken.”

'Hamas also held the US administration fully responsible for Israel’s crimes, citing its political backing and direct military support, calling on the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Court to urgently act to stop the plan and hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes against the Palestinian people.

Israeli bombing kills five, injures others in Dair El-Bala'h

GAZA, August 8, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli bombing on Friday afternoon killed at least five civilians and injured others east of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

She quoted medical sources in Al-Aqsa Hospital saying that five civilians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli bombing east of the city.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians.

The death toll reached at least 9,752 with 40,004 others wounded, according to medical sources. In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 100 slain Palestinians, including two retrieved from the rubble, and 603 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 61,258 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 152,045 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Palestinian child killed in Gaza due to aid airdrops as starvation crisis worsens

Friday 8-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A child was martyred in the Gaza Strip on Friday as a result of aid being dropped from the air, adding to the growing number of victims from Israeli bombing and the ongoing starvation campaign.

Child Sa'eed Kamal Abu Yuunus died in Khan Younus when aid packages fell on him during an air drop, while another child was seriously injured in central Gaza after similar incidents.

The Civil Defense in Gaza warned that dropping aid from the air poses serious risks to civilians, especially in densely populated areas where heavy packages can cause injuries or death.

They also highlighted the dangers of stampedes as crowds gather at aid drop sites, urging international donors and humanitarian groups to use safe and coordinated methods, preferably through land crossings, to ensure aid reaches those in need without further loss of life.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health reported four new deaths in the past 24 hours from starvation, with hospitals receiving nine more victims seeking aid.

The World Health Organization’s Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that Gaza saw its highest monthly rate of severe child malnutrition in July, with approximately 12,000 children under five affected. He called for uninterrupted aid delivery through all possible channels.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s distribution sites as places of “systematic killings and insults to human dignity,” urging an immediate halt to their aid mechanisms and warning donors against supporting what they described as a “death trap.”

Between June 7 and July 24, the organization treated 1,380 wounded near these sites, including 28 fatalities.

At the same time, Israeli shelling continues unabated. Since dawn on Thursday, 43 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army fire, including civilians targeted in air and artillery strikes across Gaza City neighborhoods such as Al-Tuffa'h and Al-Shuja’iya in addition to Khan Yunis City. Israeli drones also struck residential areas in Dair El-Bala'h and Al-Nusayrat refugee camp.

With US support, Israel has maintained a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, disregarding international calls and rulings from the International Court of Justice to cease hostilities.

The casualties include over 61,000 Palestinians martyred, more than 152,000 wounded, and 9,000 missing while hundreds of thousands were displaced amid widespread famine claiming countless lives, including many children.

IOFs launch fresh raids, kidnappings in the West Bank

Friday 8-August-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) carried out a wide-scale incursion overnight and into Friday morning, targeting several areas across the West Bank with raids, kidnappings, and confrontations with local youth.

In Ramallah, the IOFs stormed the village of Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya, north of the city, while in Qalqilya they detained the family of a young man, Ma'hmoud Dthiyab, to pressure him into turning himself in before kidnapping another youth from the same family, 'Abboud Dthiyab, after raiding his home.

In Jineen, the IOFs raided the Jabal Abu Dthahr area, surrounded the Dar Al-'Ata neighborhood, and kidnapped two young men, 'Hamada Al-Zaydan and Yousuf Al-Shami, amid heavy military deployment.

Clashes also broke out in the town of 'Huwwara, south of Nablus, alongside raids in several parts of the governorate, including Bait Iba, the eastern area, and Balata refugee camp, where young man, A'hmed Masha, was kidnapped after a house raid.

In Al-Khaleel, a military force stormed the Al-Dthahr area in Bait Ummar and raided several homes, while in Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) forces raided the village of Al-Maniya, east of the governorate.

The raids also reached the town of Zaita, north of Toulkarm, while settler bulldozers continued leveling and expanding a recently established outpost east of Salim town in Nablus, as part of ongoing illegal settlement expansion in the area.

Illegal Israeli settlers cut down dozens of trees, west of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), August 8, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers  Friday night uprooted and cut down dozens of grapevine, olive, and almond trees in the town of Na'haleen west of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), according to a local official.

Head of Na'haleen village council, Jamal Najahra, told WAFA correspondent that colonists cut down 100 grapevines, olive, and almond trees in the northern part of the town belonging to one of the local citizens, and 40 similar trees belonging to another.

The Israeli occupation forces and colonists have escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in Na'haleen, including the installation of mobile homes, the uprooting of trees, and the demolition of houses, structures, and agricultural rooms.

Today, Israeli occupation forces sealed off all agricultural roads in several areas of the town with dirt barriers, banning citizens’ access to approximately 1,000 dunums of land planted with olives, grapevines, and almond trees.

President of the European Council, António Costa, strongly urged the Israeli government to reconsider its decision to take over Gaza City, stating: “Such a decision must have consequences for EU-Israel relations, to be assessed by the Council.”

“Such an operation — together with the continued illegal expansion of settlements in the West Bank, the massive destruction in Gaza, the blockade of humanitarian aid, and the spread of famine — not only violates the agreement with the EU announced by the High Representative on July 19 but also undermines fundamental principles of international law and universal values,“ he said in a post on X.

He stressed that the situation in Gaza remains dramatic, and the decision by the Israeli government “will only further worsen it.”

“The two-state solution remains the only sustainable, long-term solution for peace and security in Israel and the region.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
